The number of hypertensive patients worldwide has doubled in 30 years.
A joint study by the World Health Organization and Imperial College London found that the number of hypertensive patients had doubled in the last 30 years.
According to the study report, the number of high blood pressure patients increased in poor countries while rich countries managed to control the disease to a great extent.
Keep in mind that hypertension is also called the silent killer, which can lead to heart disease, stroke and kidney disease.
