Smile first, then feed the children vegetables and they will eat too
NANDAN: Experts have come up with a great psychedelic recipe for children who are fed up with vegetables and fruits. If the parents taste some vegetables themselves and smile, then the child also accepts it.
Mothers, in particular, feed their children vegetables by drawing, enticing and persuading them. Or sometimes they hide it in something but it proves to be useless. Now scientists have come up with a new way. This new tip is very easy to use and all the parent has to do is smile realistically while feeding the child vegetables and at the same time eat some vegetables themselves.
Scientists from Easton University in the UK recruited 111 children between the ages of 4 and 6 and showed them two videos. In one video, an adult can be seen smiling and eating cabbage (broccoli). In the second video, an adult eats broccoli with a spotless face.
Now the children who saw the first smiling video subconsciously thought that Cabbage Branch is the best. These children not only ate vegetables but also ate twice as many vegetables as other children. Thus, instead of five grams, he ate 11 grams of broccoli.
University psychologist Katie Edwards says children are attracted to large vegetables when they observe them. Cabbage bran has been used in this experiment which is not attractive due to its taste but its benefits are innumerable. And if one sits with them for a while and eats happily, the children can reach out more to the vegetables.
This is because children pay close attention to the facial expressions of adults and take notice of it. That’s why parents’ smiles can force them to eat vegetables and fruits.
