Pakistan launches ‘brain pacemaker’ device to prevent epilepsy
Pakistan has begun the process of installing a brain pacemaker device to prevent epilepsy.
Dr. Asif Bashir, a Spanish specialist at a private hospital in Lahore, has started this treatment in the country by implanting a brain pacemaker device in two patients from Peshawar and Sindh.
Dr. Asif says that these operations have been going on in the United States for 20 years, the government should end the duty on surgical instruments so that the cost of the operation in the country can be reduced.
