Natural cannabis oil reduces epileptic seizures by 86%
London: A study of children with epilepsy in the UK found that pure hemp oil extracted not only reduced epileptic seizures by 86% but also reduced the need for other epilepsy medications. ۔

Epileptic seizures in these children decreased by an average of 86%, while children who took seven epilepsy medications daily needed only one medication throughout the day.
Experts warn that this is a preliminary study that has revealed a new aspect of the medical benefits of the cannabis plant, but based on this, long-term and detailed studies are needed to properly treat cannabis epilepsy.
Experts still do not know which of the 400 compounds in the cannabis plant are benefiting epilepsy patients.
However, regarding the compounds of the “cannabinoids” group, it is believed that the medical benefits of cannabis are due to them. Cannabis contains 70 different cannabinoids.
In 2018, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FDA) approved a cannabinoid drug containing cannabis for children with epilepsy. It was the first drug of its kind to be approved in the United States.
