Lack of sleep for three days in a row is extremely harmful to physical and mental health
Florida: Experts warn that three consecutive days of sleep deprivation can lead to mental, physical and psychological disorders. They can also cause shortness of breath, anger, loneliness and irritability.
“Today’s fast-paced life has robbed us of sleep, and if sleep deprivation is not addressed during the weekly holidays, many conditions can strike a person throughout the week,” said a Florida research survey. If you lose sleep for three days, the negative effects will continue for several days.
In this regard, more than 2000 adults were asked to compile a sleep diary. The first day’s insomnia began to change his attitude. Three days later he suffered from anger, nervousness, intolerance, sadness and irritability. But negative physical conditions were even more dangerous. Some participants said they had pain in their body, some complained of constant dizziness and even people had difficulty breathing.
The research was conducted by the South Florida School of Aging Studies in Tampa, Florida. Volunteer participants were given less than six hours of sleep for eight consecutive days, which is the shortest duration of sleep in adults. 8 hours of sleep is essential for healthy and mature adults. The survey participants provided sleep data for eight consecutive days and reported that they slept six hours or less and then revealed their condition.
Due to lack of sleep in this survey, the mental and physical condition of the participants started changing on the third day and after six days, their physical health started deteriorating significantly. Some people also experienced stomach upsets, body aches and difficulty breathing. The research is published in the latest issue of the Annals of Behavioral Medicine.
Sumi Lee, a scientist involved in the study, said that whenever there is a lack of sleep, take off the debt by taking more sleep during the holidays, otherwise they may face severe losses.
