Hi Mr. PJ Baker, How are you?
I am amazing! Thanks for asking. I have never been so focused and at peace in my life. This year has been a eye opener for me, I feel and know that I am heading in the right direction in life no matter of any bumps and bruises that may come my way I’m ready for them and ready for any challenge that may come my way as well, I’m just ready to embrace it all.
At what age did you start to workout?
I have been working out ever since I was younger. I remember my dad and his friend working out at the house at times, so I used to join them and try to compete with them. But I actually didn’t take my fitness and health seriously until 2019. That’s when I bit down and started to be hard on myself and got strict and made fitness and health a lifestyle.
I saw your Instagram account. Do you prefer Calisthenics or Aesthetics?
Honestly I like to do both. I feel too much of anything can hurt you so I like to mix them up between the two. There’s days when I just do Calisthenics and there’s days when I just do Aesthetics or mix in the two. I just listen to my body and we just go from there. I use Calisthenics like boxing, pull ups, push ups, a lot of body weight, and running to stay lean and keep my conditioning great. Then add Aesthetics to get stronger and add power.
So, Mr. PJ Baker. What is your inspiration as a trainer?
My inspiration as a trainer is to teach and show a healthy lifestyle and to be a motivation to those who may want to live one such lifestyle but can’t seem to get out of that funk or need to be led in that direction. I just want to be that person that can do that for people, want to be that leader and that role model I know I can be and that will be shown in due time all you have to do is follow me on this path. I won’t lead you wrong.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 Years?
In 5 years I see my brand which is called Live Free being a global brand. Live Free represents a positive and healthy lifestyle no matter what it can be. It can be spiritually, physically, financially, and mentally. Whatever can free you from the negative state you’re in, Live free is going to represent and we will have clothes, books, etc in each subject I mentioned to help symbolize that. I just basically see myself touching the people and giving back in a positive way these next 5 years.
What is your biggest achievement?
The biggest achievement to me is getting out of my own way and taking my life and health seriously. The one thing this pandemic showed me was to take my body and mind to another level because that’s the only thing you got at the end of the day and to live a longer life you have to take life seriously. So I feel that’s my biggest achievement this far.
Mr. PJ Baker. Are you a natty?
No I am not. I just make sure everything is matched up well, as long as the performance in the gym, track, or hike went well then that’s satisfying for me.
