How many tourists went to Swat, Kagan and Galyat during Eid holidays?
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the Hazara and Malakand divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were flooded with tourists, which resulted in billions of rupees being earned by those associated with the tourism sector.
According to the data provided by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hazara and Malakand divisions earned more than Rs. 4 billion from tourist arrivals.
During the Eid holidays, more than 1.2 million people came to Kagan for sightseeing, while the number of vehicles entering the area was more than 300,000.
More than one million tourists came to Galyat while the total number of vehicles coming there was 200,000. Tourists also visited different parts of Swat in large numbers where their number was reported to be more than half a million.
More than 100,000 tourists arrived in the Razmak area of North Waziristan to celebrate Eid. Eid holidays in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lasted from July 17 to 24, while millions of tourists are still on tour.
