Due to human negligence, 1.5 crore doses of corona vaccine turned out to be defective
NEW YORK: One and a half million doses of the corona vaccine manufactured by an American pharmaceutical company turned out to be defective and the company destroyed it.
According to the international media report, the American pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson declared 1.5 crore doses of corona vaccine as defective and wasted them.
A statement from the company said, “When the quality of the consignment was checked, it was not up to standard.”
According to the American company, the entire consignment of Corona vaccine was in the final stages when the defect was identified. “Quality and public safety are among the company’s top priorities,” the spokesman said.
According to the report, the infected consignment of the vaccine was manufactured at a plant in Balti, Maryland under the management of Emergency Bio Solutions. Johnson & Johnson says the vaccine maker is sending experts to inspect the plant so that food can be prepared under its supervision after the inspection.
The company said in a statement that an additional 24 million doses of the vaccine would be provided in April and that more than one billion people would be vaccinated by the end of this year.
U.S. observers say the U.S. Food and Drug Administration may investigate the company’s confession.
