DRAP approves second ventilator made in Pakistan
The ventilator has been developed by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission of Pakistan and the locally manufactured ventilator is called Pak Vent One. DRAP chief Dr Asim Rauf has confirmed the registration of Pak Vent One. He said that this is the beginning of a new journey for Pakistan and Pak Vent One has been registered for 5 years. The service life of Pak Vent One Vanity Liter is 10 years.
CEO Drape added that the start of manufacturing of medical devices in Pakistan is welcome. The Drug Regulatory Authority registered a vanity letter manufactured in Pakistan last week. Dr. Asim Rauf, CEO of DRAP, said that the ventilator was named ILevo and was registered after a thorough technical examination.
He said that this vanity letter has been prepared by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and its registration has been done under DRAP Act 2012 for 5 years.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry had said that medical, scientists and engineers have done a great job in the last two years for the preparation of vanity letter in the country.
