Dental cleaning is important … but when?
California: What’s the best time to clean your teeth? This is a common question that is on everyone’s mind, some people think that the best time to eat is before breakfast. For some, the best time is after a meal.
But the best time to clean your teeth depends on what you eat or what you eat for breakfast.
Dentists usually recommend brushing twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening. But whether you brush your teeth after breakfast or before breakfast, the whiteness and shine of your teeth is not about what you ate in the first few hours of your day.
Madison Kaplan, a dentist in the US state of California, says she usually advises her patients to brush after breakfast. And it’s a great way to get rid of liquid and solid foods that can cause stains on teeth. Instead of brushing your teeth before breakfast, brushing your teeth later means that you have given the bacteria in your mouth the least amount of time to digest the protective layer of teeth.
But it is also wrong to brush after every meal. If you have used foods and beverages with acidic properties for breakfast, then it would be better to brush before breakfast. This is because brushing after sour fruits like malt or acidic foods like this can damage the protective layer (animal) of your teeth. That’s why the American Dental Association recommends brushing one hour after using acidic foods. But if you don’t have an hour, then you can rinse with water to clear the nutrients.
According to the American Dental Association, brushing immediately after drinking coffee or malt juice rubs acid on animal enamel, weakening the protective layer of teeth and weakening the structure of teeth. Therefore, instead of brushing after acidic meals, the nutrients can be cleaned by rinsing with water with the help of floss.
