Beating children can affect their brains, research shows
It can be said that killing children affects their brains in the same way that severe violence or abuse affects them.
Dr. Katie McLaughlin and John Loeb, social scientists at Harvard University, report that slapping and physical violence damage children’s brain development in much the same way that severe violence does. It can affect children’s mental health, as well as the parts of the brain that play an important role in decision-making.
