Another corona vaccine has been approved in China
BEIJING: China has approved the public use of another vaccine to prevent corona virus.
According to the International News Agency, the Medical Regulatory Authority of China has also approved the public use of the corona vaccine “Corona Week” developed by the local company “Cyno Week Life Sciences”. Previously, only emergency use of Corona Week was allowed.
Corona Week trials took place in Indonesia, Turkey, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Laos, which are in the final stages and have yielded promising results, after which these countries have also allowed the emergency use of the vaccine.
The results of a two-phase trial in China of Cinna Week’s Corona vaccine show that the vaccine produces a safe immune response in people up to 60 years of age and in people aged 3 to 17 years. The trials are ongoing, but data were “limited” to the safety rate for people over 60.
In a trial in Brazil, the cinnabar vaccine was more effective than 50%, while in Turkey it was 90% effective. The Beijing-based SynoWake Life Sciences unit claims to have produced more than 1 billion doses a year since February.
